Arjun Dayal

Engineer, designer, hip-hop producer. As a Senior Product Designer at EverCommerce, I design AI-powered features and the design systems and templates behind 20+ products. On my own time I build tools like Handbook, rethink how home-cooked food gets ordered, and make beats.

Handbook

Handbook

I built a tool that turns scattered source material (LLM conversations, articles, notes) into a structured, searchable guide, where new material merges into what you already have instead of piling up. Readable by humans and exportable via Markdown for machines.

Fitting traditional meal-service onto a modern platform

Fitting traditional meal-service onto a modern platform

Homemade Indian cooking is healthy, tasty and simple. Something you could eat everyday. Here’s how I successfully fit novel components to execute a tiffin meal service inside Uber Eats' existing design system.

My Process

Pair the why with the what

Moderated usability sessions tell me why users behave the way they do. Quantitative tools like Heap and heatmapping tell me what they're doing at scale.

Building precedent

I audit existing workflows and other applications while simultaneously getting crystal-clear on the problem space.

Reuse before you invent

I think in systems first. Before designing anything new, I look for what already exists that can be extended, adapted or reused.

Stay in the room

I work closely with PMs and engineers throughout, not just at handoff. The best decisions emerge from brainstorming and ideating together through transparent collaboration and riffing sessions.

Finesse and close the gap

I use Figma and Claude Code together to push further into the space between what I design and what actually ships or can be integrated into the codebase/component library.

Writing

My perspective on design systems, leadership, and the craft behind the work and creativity.
